All 23 Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board district offices — find yours by ZIP code, then get the address, phone, hours, the walk-through window, and which units sit on site. Every office runs the same court calendar: 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

DWC’s published ADJ filing venue — where most forms get filed. Two limits worth knowing: the Disability Evaluation Unit doesn’t follow this same mapping at every office, and §5501.5 lets the applicant elect among the county of residence, the county where the injury happened, and in some cases counsel’s principal place of business. This is the administrative default, not a venue ruling.

16 of 23 offices publish one. Most run 8–11 and 1–4; the rest don’t list hours, so call first.

Identical statewide — 8:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. – 5:00 p.m. Lobby opening times differ; several open only 30 minutes before the session.

When the boards are closed

District offices are state offices, so they close on California state holidays — which is a different list from the courts’ (the judicial branch also observes Lincoln’s Birthday; state offices don’t). This matters past planning a trip: a period ending on a holiday or weekend generally extends to the next business day under Code Civ. Proc. §§12, 12a, which the deadline calculator now flags.

Juneteenth and Lincoln’s Birthday are left off on purpose — both are elective or personal holidays for state employees rather than office closures. Individual offices can also close for reasons that aren’t on any calendar; call ahead if a filing turns on it.
